2012 Honda Crosstour 4WD, Detailed Walkaround
Today, I did Way too much and went for a test drive in the 2012 Honda Crosstoure. You all know I have looked at the BMW x6 recently, but for half the price, you can not fail by opting to purchase or consider the 2012 Crosstoure.
I went to the Russ Darrow Dealership on 91st Brown Deer Road in Milwaukee, WI. Awesome vehicle and purchase options. Take a look at the Crosstoure in this video from Youtube.

The Matthews Playing House...
Daniela and my children blessed me with a surprise trip to my hometown last year. It was amazing. So much so, we were in the process of re-locating to El Dorado, AR before her untimely passing.
This video, Daniela and the children are clowning as we went to a Mobile Home Dealership and looked at the models they had. Daniela and her spirit. After watching this video, you’ll know where my children get their comedic natures from, =D, 3!!!!

Defensive Pistol Training
I’ve been thinking very seriously about going to take Defensive Training for carrying a firearm. This video is a cool example of what will be taught in the training.
I'm So Sorry...
Good morning World. I just wanted
to take this opportunity to jot down a few things and let you all know what’s
been on my mind. I have not been feeling like myself. Granted, it’s mostly due
to my way of dealing with the change, which occurred in my life this past
spring. I wonder if anyone knows how to deal with the loss of a Soul Mate.
First, let me start by thanking those of you who have been so supportive in
making sure, I am good. Many people give their condolences and well wishes, but
a few of you have been VERY supportive. I just want to thank you for your
continuous reinforcement and faith in me.
A friend told me to remember to be
true to myself and never disrespect the memory of my wife. Well, that has been
what I have been doing out of pure fear. Fear of being alone had caused me to
disrespect both my relationship and myself with my wife. I thought I could
handle my family’s loss if I could replace my wife in one-way or another. It
took a very intense internal look within my heart to understand there will “NEVER”
be anyone able to replace Daniela. It’s harsh, but so true. For me, the woman
who created and developed me can never be replaced. It was that internal
self-assessment where I found the truth I was trying to avoid; there will never
be another Daniela.
There are people out there who care
about the children and I and who are truly concerned about us, but I ask you to
understand, we are good. We are great actually due to the high caliber of
preparation, in which Daniela set for the children and I. If I pulled you into
the chaos and you became entangled in something you were not ready for, I
sincerely apologize. It is not our time. Not our time to interact in any way. I
thank you for your caring and passion, but the culture of my family is not conducive
to you being part of our lives. Those of you who “really” knew Daniela and who “really”
know the Matthews Family, we see you as family; Always!!
Once again, I apologize for mixing those of you up in the
chaos, which is Ray Matthews as I try to re-stabilize myself and my life.
Thank you:

Employment in Milwaukee...
Last night after enjoying the
commentary of the Anderson Silva
K.O. victory over Chel Sonnen, I
viewed a program on the Fox Channel about unemployment and the current American
economy. I didn’t get the name of the program, but it was very insightful. The
idea of the program turned everything you would think about searching for
employment on its ear.
I can remember years ago, many
years ago, I would go to a company and have to apply. Some of those
applications were like small novellas; page after page of repeating questions
and information. Now you can save yourself time and money by just going to your
computer, applying on-line and that’s it! The problem with that is, it seems as
though, I rarely hear back from employers. On the Fox Channel program, it was said,
employers aren’t really looking for new hires through this new system. New
hires usually come from word of mouth through current/existing employees. If
this is true, is it fair? Maybe not, but I wonder if you’d disagree when it
benefits you.
Today in this drab economy, we
must find ways to secure and maintain financial stability for our families. It
goes behind your individual comfort zone in a position or at a particular
company. An individual must take into account factors like job/position security
and insurance. Today, we can’t focus much on retirement, advancement, or other
elements of career growth. As companies are downsizing and relocating away from
us, we have to do what’s best for our economic futures. As an employee or
perspective employee, you must be willing to sacrifice and sometimes sacrifice
some very hard places.
I’ve talked with multiple people
in Milwaukee and surrounding areas and there’s one common certainty. Everyone
believes Milwaukee has a dead economy and to find employment, one must travel
and venture elsewhere.
Question: How do you feel about
the local economy and do you feel Milwaukee has a dead economy?
